Dyslexia services include one-on-one tutoring for children from age 5-½, adolescents, and adults.
Children & Adolescents
There is no quick fix for dyslexia. Completing the Barton Reading & Spelling program can take anywhere from 18 months or longer depending on the child, the severity of dyslexia, the weekly time commitment, and the family’s commitment to the program. Still, improvements can be seen in just a few months, or even weeks.
To ensure success, a minimum commitment of two one-hour sessions per week is required.
It’s never too late to begin tutoring. I will help you improve your reading fluency and emphasize your strengths to enhance productivity in your work and boost self-confidence.

The dyslexia consultation will determine with a high degree of accuracy whether or not your child fits the dyslexia profile. It involves the following:
- A comprehensive review of school records and all prior testings.
- Examination of current schoolwork samples.
- Information shared by both parents in a face-to-face interview.
- Recommendations for tutoring and accommodations.
Findings will be shared with parents in person once the review of records and parent information has been completed. There is no written report.
Meet with parents and their child’s teacher(s) to explain and recommend the classroom accommodations that will most effectively address the child’s specific struggles and learning style.
Meet with or contact the student’s teacher(s) and/or school administrative staff outside the IEP or 504 meeting setting.
