Meet Donna Kaplan
Welcome! My name is Donna Kaplan. I am a dyslexia specialist and certified dyslexia tutor.
For as long as I can remember I have been captivated by words and language. It is magical when our children learn to read. However, many children struggle with reading which, if not addressed early can affect life-long learning and erode self-esteem in the process.
Dyslexia is the most common learning disability. One out of five people in the United States has dyslexia.
There has been significant research over the years that has brought to light many warning signs, which can be easily identified to aid in the diagnosis. In addition to these warning signs, there are also positive qualities that are characteristic of people with dyslexia.
My passion is to help dyslexic children, teenagers and adults improve their reading, writing, and spelling, so that they may realize their potential and reach their personal goals.
Using years of experience and an evidence-based methodology, I am committed to helping my students achieve reading success and build their self-confidence. I focus on each student’s unique personality and individual learning style to maximize progress and make learning fun and interesting.

|“Donna is always welcoming my son with a smile and compliments him on the work he does after the session. The tutoring has been amazing for him. It is presented in a way that makes sense and he does not forget it! He has even taught a rule about spelling to his younger brother! As a result of the tutoring twice a week, he has seen a significant increase in his reading and spelling ability. Currently in 4th grade, his reading index scores have gone from 422 (early 3rd grade level) to a 898 now (5th grade level). He even earned all A’s this past trimester. In turn, that has built his confidence tremendously and he goes to school with a smile on his face. Priceless!” More Testimonials|
